Free Courses from Google, Microsoft, and Harvard to Learn Generative AI

The world is changing faster than Artificial Intelligence can keep up, leaving only those with a little creativity and adaptability to survive. Even though we do not foresee a complete loss of jobs, it may be helpful to prepare for the AI tsunami now by becoming knowledgeable and upskilled.

The rapid advancement of AI has piqued the interest of many. With millions of AI resources at their disposal today, it can be difficult for anyone to learn more about them, acquire new skills, or just make use of some of these fascinating tools.

Set aside your worries; we've put together a list of free courses that are being offered by some of the biggest tech companies. This is a quick list of classes that will help you understand the material and possibly even give you a new skill that will help you grow in your career.

An Introduction to Generative AI

The goal of this Google course is to teach learners the fundamentals of generative AI, how it varies from conventional machine learning techniques, and its uses. This "introductory level microlearning course" covers Google Tools for building your own Generative AI applications, according to Google. Upon completion of the course, users will receive a badge that they can add to their profiles. Included in the course materials are documents and videos.

How does Microsoft define "Generative AI"?

The principles of generative AI are taught in this Microsoft training. Among the topics covered is an introduction to generative AI, covering its operation, various model types, moral considerations, and projections for the future. The course will be taught by renowned generative AI specialist Pinar Seyhan Demirdag. You can access the 42-minute course on the go. A shareable certificate will also be given to participants, which they can download as a PDF and post to the Licences and Certificate section of their LinkedIn profiles.

CS50 at Harvard: An Introduction to AI with Python

With this introductory course, users can learn Python machine learning applications. This course covers graph search techniques, machine learning, reinforcement learning, AI principles, building intelligent systems, and using AI in Python programs. According to the company's official website, "CS50's Introduction to Artificial Intelligence with Python explores the concepts and algorithms at the foundation of modern artificial intelligence, delving into the ideas that give rise to technologies like machine translation, handwriting recognition, and game-playing engines." The edX platform offers the self-paced, seven-week course.

An Overview of Ethical Artificial Intelligence

This course, which is provided by Google, basically teaches students the definition of responsible AI, its importance, and how Google is incorporating responsible AI into its products. Users can display the badge they receive after finishing on their accounts. Understand why Google has implemented AI principles, recognize the need for responsible AI practice within an organization, identify decisions made at every stage of a project, and identify organizations that can design AI to meet their business needs are the objectives of the course, according to Google. There are no prerequisites for this course, and anyone can enroll.

Utilizing Microsoft Bing Chat to streamline your work

Customers who take the Microsoft course learn how, among other things, Bing Chat can help with workflow acceleration, idea generation, and data summarization. The course is taught by technologist and podcaster Jess Straton. Straton breaks down a number of methods for increasing Microsoft Bing Chat productivity throughout the course. According to the course description, "by the end of this course, you'll be ready to perform robust online searches, generate ideas, compose text, automate your work, fact-check the results, and more." Participants will get a shareable certificate after finishing, which they can post on LinkedIn.

Everyone's access to generative AI

Dr. Andrew Ng, a pioneer and expert in AI, will walk attendees through the capabilities and operation of generative AI. The course framework offers an introduction to advanced AI applications, ideas for timely engineering, and insights into how generative AI might help with common tasks. Professionals and corporate leaders alike are the target audience for this training. The course provider, DeepLearning.AI, states that the recommended study schedule is one to two hours per week for three weeks.

Much excitement, but also fear, as with any new technology. With AI taking over many routine and ordinary tasks, the concerns are not unfounded. However, a number of experts have confirmed that AI will create new profiles and sources of income for professionals and amateurs worldwide, rather than just eliminating jobs.
